About Perennial
Perennial Companies, Inc. (“Perennial”) was founded in 2018 by Tim Dutton and Robert Goldstein. The company name "Perennial" comes from both the horticultural term for perennial plants, which return each year stronger and more beautiful, and the broader meaning of something enduring, long-lasting, and timeless. Perennial was founded on the belief that exceptional outdoor spaces should provide long-term beauty, functionality, and value for home and property owners.
Perennial specializes in helping owners improve their lives through thoughtfully designed outdoor living environments. Rather than focusing solely on landscape installation, we work with clients to create outdoor spaces that enhance relaxation, entertaining, family gatherings, property value, and overall quality of life.
Leadership & Experience
Tim Dutton’s experience in the landscape industry began in 1986 while working at a friend's father's garden center during grade school. Over nearly four decades, Tim has gained experience in landscape construction, design consultation, estimating, project management, outdoor living construction, client relations, and business operations.
Tim holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and has completed advanced industry education through the Masters in Landscape Business Management program.
Perennial's team consists of experienced team members, specialty contractors, and trusted trade partners. Whether team members are employees or contractors, they are treated as part of the Perennial team. We maintain the resources and relationships necessary to complete virtually every aspect of an outdoor living project.

Our Story
Tim's passion for landscaping began in 1986 and evolved into a lifelong career focused on helping homeowners improve their properties through thoughtful planning, design, and construction. Tim and his landscape industry team members utilize their experience, industry knowledge, and hands-on project involvement which is central to Perennial's success.
While Tim and his development team’s singular focus is delivering outstanding projects and exceeding clients’ expectations, Robert Goldstein is responsible for managing the business operations of Perennial. Robert has extensive business operating acumen, including procurement, contract management, insurance, accounting and marketing.
